About Chidinma Blossom Enushai:
Questions were answered by Eniola Elizabeth Ajilo (Chidinma Blossom Enushai's Mother)
What values or life lessons do you strive to instill in your child, and how do they embody those values?
One of the most important values I instill in my daughter is integrity. I teach her that honesty is non-negotiable, regardless of circumstances or outcomes. A person’s word is their bond, and integrity gives weight to one’s presence and builds trust over time. My daughter embodies this value clearly; she is truthful, responsible, and dependable, and I have never caught her in a lie. This gives me great confidence in the character she is developing. Another core value is honor- honoring people regardless of status, differences, or past experiences. I teach her to treat others with respect and dignity, even when it is difficult. She reflects this through her empathy, kindness, and ability to relate thoughtfully to others. I also emphasize neatness, attention to detail, and organization. I believe details matters; in appearance, movement, work, and life. As a girl and a future leader, I teach her that how she carries herself, wears her, look matters. Before you say a word in a room full of people your appearance has already spoken for you which determines if you will be granted audience, respected or not. And yes, she reflects this. I mean, she got a nickname in school "OminiCleanness", funny right, but I love it. It shows she naturally reflects it. She is well-organized, intentional, and mindful of precision, which aligns with her interest in design and architecture. Another lesson I instill is leadership and responsibility. As the first child, I remind her that others are watching her choices and learning from her actions. She is encouraged to lead by example, carry responsibility wisely, and focus on what truly belongs to her to manage without carrying unnecessary burdens. Finally, I teach curiosity, self-love, and empathy. I encourage her to be curious about life, to think beyond her comfort zone, and to ask questions. She embodies this curiosity in her love for learning and creativity. I also teach her to love herself fully and confidently embrace every part of who she is. She is empathetic, compassionate, and aware that her gifts are not just for herself, but for service to others. Together, these values shape her into a confident, disciplined, thoughtful, and compassionate young girl with a strong sense of identity and purpose.
What aspirations or dreams does your child have for their future? How do they plan to achieve them?
My child aspires to become an architectural engineer. At eleven years old, she already draws beautifully, can literally sketch and entire house just by visualizing it, she's very creative, and loves building things with her hands. She enjoys creating structures and asking questions about how things work, and she is equally curious about science and mathematics. She believes she can use her creativity and knowledge to design better homes and spaces, especially to help solve housing challenges in Nigeria and improve how people live. As a parent, I supported her passion initially by just getting her sketch pads, different sets of colors and pencils when I saw it was more than a hobby, I intentionally started guiding her development. Last summer we went for a creative class, I even had to change her school to one that has more and encouraged creative and extra curricular activities to help her home her skills. She is enrolled in a school that. She also participates in advanced holiday learning programs to build her skills early. At home, we encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and an entrepreneurial mindset—helping her understand real-world problems and how her ideas can become solutions. In the coming years, I plan to enroll her in structured architectural and design programs to further nurture her talent. She also plays basketball, which helps her build discipline, teamwork, and confidence, all of which are important for her personal growth and future success.
What do you believe makes Chidinma Blossom Enushai truly special and deserving to win this contest?
What makes my child truly special and deserving of this contest is her depth of purpose, intentionality, and character, especially at such a young age. She is guided by strong values, faith, and an inner drive that goes beyond her age. She does not simply exist, she is intentional about becoming. At eleven, she already has a clear sense of who she is and what she wants to build in the world. This level of self-awareness and direction is something many adults struggle to achieve, even I did. She is thoughtful, reflective, and deeply intentional about personal growth. She constantly seeks to improve herself, not out of pressure, but from a genuine desire to do things well and do them right. She naturally embodies leadership. She cares deeply about people, stands up for what is right, and is especially sensitive to issues that affect others. She is kind, empathetic, and protective, with a strong sense of justice. People are drawn to her because she leads with heart, not force. What also sets her apart is her creativity combined with discipline. When she learns something new, she does not stop at the basics, she takes it further. A simple knitting lesson turned into a personal project, then into multiple finished pieces, and eventually into a desire to build something meaningful from it. She understands the value of finishing what she starts and has already begun to think entrepreneurially, even at this young age. Above all, she has a rare hunger for growth, excellence, and impact. She is confident yet humble, driven yet compassionate, and strong while remaining gentle. I believe she is special not just because of her talents, but because of the heart, intention, and purpose behind everything she does. These qualities make her not only deserving of this contest, but a true reflection of the future leaders this opportunity seeks to uplift.
